And then for the tourists’s dream vacation
it snows like hell in Hawai‘i, for goodness sake.
Waikīkī’s transformed into White-kiki,
and surf’s down as waves turn an icy ski-scape.
Why is Diamond Head buried, they lament
under snow so thick, it’s flattened out
right now like a Diamond paper plate?
The Ala Wai Canal’s a skating rink,
but turned to ice, at least it doesn’t stink.
Chinatown’s become a China White,
the folks so high they can see Shanghai.
Round Top’s great for toboggan races,
Ala Moana can’t ka-ching 365 Xmas profits, though.
Ho-How-Horrible, I wake from a dream that can’t last.
