Was it 40 or 50 years ago now that my sister
convinced me to try online dating? I’ve lost
track of how many dates I’ve been on over the decades.
I’ve learned much, however, from the myriad opportunities.
One said, as we were introducing ourselves, she bet I’d never
agree to meet a woman again unless she posted a photo.
Another left when I went to use the restroom; I was relieved.
But the most valuable lesson came from one who said I should
practice slowing down time if I were ever running behind for an appointment.
She was tardy for ours, but I still attempt it every time I’m going to be late.
