I see when I have finally walked almost to the end
of this said old oak forest, and I am going, going
I see it would be she and I, for I had found her
walking too, both of us having passed the manzanita season
together we went straight with no more meandering
barren dreams of lost and lonely, hand in hand we
arrived directly to the point where I could say
this is our history, our love story, and that is why
both she and I must go together, consumed by fire
despite all that’s left us by, a lost chance for love
over some poorer reason outbalancing desire
and then we two were resurrected as one phoenix
rising from our ashes, reborn into the next life together
this is my dream, this is my passion
