Now I know for sure I was not alone then
in this, that you were there, all there,
a fair participant in all our pleasure of
what we were new, the two of whom it was said
we were such patient planters, gifted gardeners,
twin observers panting hand in hand to see the sweet buds
before we blushed red to touch and taste, our selves
now moved so far away from when we were, oh
how now I would ring the rosie round with you,
now how I can’t feed the hungry growth, oh
how then the unimagined sown, how grown we to be unremembered,
and every little acreage we owned, that soil we turned,
a way we found to be a breaking dream, that all was
only all that was then and would not grow to be

Aloha #WriterFriday. Today’s #WritingPrompt is
the harvest
Use it to inspire a piece of writing of any style, short or long, a haiku or a funny sentence, and then post that piece on your site and link back to me, or simply leave it as a comment below. I would love to read it : )
I really like this one, Lanning. You are a very gifted writer. Am looking forward to the next one.
Best regards, Fred
