Now is the time to show we’ve listened
Heard our ancestors who spoke and still speak
Perched rocking, brilliant in their ever sunset
Of peace, love, patience, and charity
To above all practice kindness
Now more than ever
Too many deaf ears haven’t heard
How our world’s in need
And what we can do about it
Listen and act upon what they say
Understand where inhumanity to man
Has led us, and how
This
Must
Change
If we’re to leave the world a better place
For future generations as they tried to do
We must learn their history lessons
And keep our optimism in these harsh times
Live those lessons and don’t abandon hope
So we can conquer adversity with compassion
Empathize with your fellow man
Love your neighbor and prove to our forbearers
That they were right to pass the torch to us
