In a cave here, on a mountaintop there
Korea lives in me by bits and pieces
Bite-sized chunks I can drink in
Melts into my soul, assimilation of a lost son
Receiving communion offered by my ancestors
Ingestion of their spirit, their blood, eat up
These sights and sounds manifest me, grow in and
With thy spirt, everything filling me, the leveled rising
One dry lake once dammed from above, the wall dismantling
Stone by stone, each new experience, rocks me nurtured
More information trickling, my lips cradle news of this world
Replenished tongue of a son come again to commune with this divine
If only I could retain everything, but so much fades too fast each time
All rituals requiring constant practice for dissemination to last
