Never Gone

I take great comfort in knowing this
That the dead still live in my memories of them
So they are with me always
Even as there are more and more to remember
I still try to honor the life of each
Recall all as best I can to keep them with me
Relive as many moments together as I can
Talk with them sometimes because they are here
My memories of them overcoming our separation
Because those who are gone are never gone
I take great comfort in knowing this
