Time Can’t Fade

We knew each other well a long time ago
I hated every moment apart
We were perfect for me
Brilliant schemes of flesh and fantasy
Our intricate details mapped and memorized
Life facts piled up like sea mounts breaking
A new world of sunlight dazzling over darkness
Then something snapped
That’s one fact that can’t escape me
While nowadays
Our history and geography blur and fade
Those gloomy moments of sudden clarity
About how time grows us farther apart
How I’ve hated those
