Hawaiʻi Sonnet 104 (you belong here now)

sleep wake sleep wake
jet-lag rocks me
dark light dark light
searching dreams scattered under silver moon and golden sun
water washed over too, my full cup clouds clear
all dark ground bright, all well unraveled
thread needle eye sew, so see
circle of life, circle of thanks, complete me
all caught up, trimmed, my sails furled
docked, rest face to face, birthed with my ancestors
scene England, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Canada, Korea
all here sleep a part of me now, asleep with me all
so gentle me down to peace at home awake
