Dan Brown says he does all of his writing
in airports and railway stations, in between flights here
and trains there – no mention of bus stations, though.
I’ve written in bus stations.
Imagine. Dan Brown sits there composing. All around him,
people might be reading his books. Exciting.
If they would only look up, they might see him there
right next to them. Even more exciting.
I’m in the Guam Airport. 1:30 in the morning. Writing.
Just like Dan Brown. This place is jammed with people.
I look up, notice the guy at the table across from me.
He’s typing like a madman. But nah, it’s on his phone.
I picture Dan Brown as more of a laptop guy, like me.
Still, for a ten-year-old, this Asian kid can keyboard like a pro.
